Trending: Cleated Soles

Unless you've been living under a rock these past few weeks you'll know that cleated soles are everywhere right now. And I am seriously loving this trend. 

Although I have my eye on a number of heeled versions (in particular of the holographic variety) I thought I would work my way in gently with these flat strap sandals from River Island. 

These black and gold pair will go with loads and can even be worn to work…bonus! Now all I need is for it to stop raining so I can finally wear them!

ASOS Wishlist: Pastel Passion

Since S/S '12 I've been obsessed with pastels. Anything featured in ice cream hues I wanted immediately and I'm sure my wardrobe was grateful for the added splash of colour after having gone many many years only seeing black, white and varying shades of grey. 

See I'm just not known for wearing bright colours. I don't know if this is because I feel too self conscious or if I secretly do like blending into the masses but it was either embrace it or go the rest of my life resembling a librarian. 

So I practically rejoiced when the pastel trend arrived…finally a colour palette that I could get on board with! 

The thing I love most about pastels are how easy they are to mix and match and the holographic trend also works perfectly with these hues.

Kimono Cover Up

I'm loving kimono's at the moment. They're just the perfect item to throw on when the sun comes out. I found this H&M number last week for a bargain £9.99 and just loved the blue print…perfect for when you need to add a pop of colour to a neutral outfit. 

Now the rain has gone I'm also really excited that I can wear my new Birksenstocks that I got in TK Maxx for £25. I'd definitely recommend having a look in your local store if you're looking to pick up a pair.

Trending: Pool Slides

Thanks to Phoebe Philo when Céline debuted the 'furkenstock', pool slides have been popping up everywhere. 

So, as the weather is now beginning to improve and we're able to brave the bare feet, it's time to embrace summers 'it' shoe.

Run Roshe Run

In a bid to get fit I signed up to the new local gym, so thought what better time than now to invest in a new pair of trainers?

I saw these faded Nike Roshe Run beauties in Office and just couldn't resist. And what's not to like? Not only can I wear them as I'm pumping iron but they'll look great with a pair of skinny jeans for a casual daytime look. 

This got me thinking about my severe lack of 'comfortable' footwear choices and how maybe I should be investing in more than the one pair.

With the launch of Nike X Liberty and their new Spring/Summer 2014 collection featuring timeless Liberty floral prints, this pair of paisley Air Max 90 Liberty Denim might just have to feature on my next shopping list.
